Seasonal arrangements grown in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle
Our story
I’ve worked in education for years and, while I’ve always loved flowers, I didn’t know how to grow them. I’d never had a yard big enough to grow really anything and I didn’t know the difference between a tuber and a corm.
Then, in early 2020, my family and I moved to the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle and we had our first (very very small) garden space. Soon after that, lockdown gave me ample time to stare at the all the potential the yard promised.
In April, 2020, I bought my first few packets of seeds from Floret Flowers. A year later, I enrolled in their workshop to learn everything I could about growing and arranging flowers. Hundreds of bouquets and thousands of seeds later, Peony and Fern Flowers is my attempt to marry my background in education with my desire to share flowers with my community.
Picked with care
We are a true urban garden; the lot is small but carefully planned. Each bouquet is created with materials in bloom at that moment. Because of our size, no two bouquets are alike, but all are constructed with care.
